1968 Charger R/T Restoration
Here's another car we're restoring... It's a numbers matching 68 R/T 440
It's a tough one that a previous shop started to restore and ended up butchering! There were about 30 small tin patches riveted and screwed all over the car and covered with tar and 5 gallons of body filler! When I chipped the filler away, the original paint underneath wasn't even sanded!
Most guys would have run from this one! We'll tear it down to the bare bones, then get it put back together, the proper way!
And so the cutting begins.....
We fabricated the rear sections of the inner rockers
It's starting to look a little more promising...
Loose fitting the back half....
Now the rotted front rails are cut off...
Donor is prepped....
And installed, after countless measurements...
Looks like a car again...


The XV Chassis stiffening kit is installed...
